2 June: First Hearing in MPR Four Pillars Quiz Competition Case Held at Central Jakarta District Court
JAKARTA - The first hearing in the case involving judges and MCs for the 2026 West Kalimantan Provincial Four Pillars Quiz Competition (LCC) was held at the Central Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (2 June 2026).
A spokesperson for the Central Jakarta District Court, Sunoto, stated that the hearing was held for case number 335/Pdt.G/2026/PN Jkt.Pst, with plaintiff David Tobing and defendants Ahmad Muzani, Dyasita Widya Budi, Indri Wahyuni, and Shindy Luthfiana.
“The panel of judges will consist of Presiding Judge Ummi Kusuma Putri, assisted by judges I Gusti Ngurah Partha Bhargawa and Zeni Zenal Mutaqin,” Sunoto said, citing Antara on Tuesday.
In his claims, David has four requests: to grant the plaintiff’s claims in full and to declare the defendants guilty of unlawful acts.
He also requested that Muzani, as Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR), dismiss Dyasita and Indri from their positions at the MPR without honour.
Sunoto added that David is also seeking to bar Dyasita and Indri from serving as judges in official state events at regional, national, or central levels.
Previously, the MPR cancelled the rematch of the 2026 West Kalimantan Provincial Four Pillars Quiz Competition final due to objections from SMAN 1 Pontianak and SMAN 1 Sambas.
Abraham Liyanto, Chairman of the MPR’s Socialisation Agency, said both schools agreed that a rematch was unnecessary, and the cancellation had been agreed upon by all MPR factions.
He added that the MPR met with SMAN 1 Pontianak and SMAN 1 Sambas last week and accepted the schools’ request.
Meanwhile, MPR Deputy Chairman Abcandra Muhammad Akbar Supratman announced that Josepha Alexandra, a student from SMAN 1 Pontianak who was at the centre of the LCC controversy, will become an MPR Quiz Competition Ambassador.
The controversy surrounding the 2026 Four Pillars Quiz Competition arose when three senior high schools—SMAN 1 Pontianak, SMAN 1 Sambas, and SMAN 1 Sanggau—competed in the provincial final in Pontianak.
Participants raised objections to the judges’ scoring, and the judges’ response—specifically from Dyastasita Widya Budi, Head of the Research Bureau of the MPR General Secretariat, and Indri Wahyuni, Head of the Secretariat Section of the Socialisation Agency of the MPR—drew online criticism.
