2,797 Passengers Arrive at Cikarang Station on Lebaran H+7
Bekasi Regency (ANTARA) - As many as 2,797 passengers were recorded arriving at Cikarang Station, Bekasi Regency, West Java, on H+7 of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, corresponding to Saturday (28/3/2026) until 3:00 PM Western Indonesia Time, from various departure cities across Java Island. “Cikarang Station is one of the service points for this year’s Lebaran return flow for long-distance train services,” said the Public Relations Officer of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, in Cikarang on Saturday. He stated that Cikarang Station, which has previously served as the easternmost terminus for the KRL commuter line in the capital’s supporting agglomeration, is also a departure point for long-distance trains in addition to arrivals. “The number of arrivals is higher than departures. This indicates that the return flow to Cikarang and surrounding areas is still ongoing,” he said. He claimed that the number of passengers using train services to and from Cikarang Station continues to increase, given that the region is the epicentre of the industrial area, thus becoming a magnet for newcomers. In line with this situation, his side will continue to commit to providing the best service for train users, including during this year’s Lebaran transportation period. PT KAI also provides convenience for the public through the Silaturahmi promotional programme, offering a 20 percent discount on executive class train tickets. “With this promotion, we hope the public will be even more interested in using train transportation amid the high return flow,” he said.
