During the Lebaran 2026 period from H-10 to H+7 (11-28 March), the number of vehicles returning to the Jabotabek region reached 2,773,767 units.

PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk’s President Director, Rivan A. Purwantono, stated that this figure is an accumulation of traffic from four main toll gates: Ciawi, Cikupa, Kalihurip Utama, and Cikampek Utama.

“These 2.77 million vehicles returning to the Jabotabek region represent 81.72% of the total projected 3.39 million vehicles expected to return during the period from 11-31 March 2026,” Rivan said in an official statement on Sunday (29/3/2026).

Traffic distribution was dominated by the eastern direction (Trans-Java and Bandung) with 1,306,467 vehicles or 47.1%. This was followed by 815,036 vehicles (29.4%) from the west (Merak), and 652,264 vehicles (23.5%) from the south (Puncak).

Vehicles from the Puncak direction entering via the Ciawi toll gate on the Jagorawi Toll Road reached 652,264 units, up 3.1%. Meanwhile, from the Merak direction via the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road entering through the Cikupa toll gate, there were 815,036 units, down 1.4%.

Rivan said that the volume of return traffic to Jabotabek on H+7 of Lebaran 2026 (28/3) reached 212,138 vehicles, an increase of 46.7% compared to the normal condition of 144,601 vehicles.

“Based on daily traffic data on Saturday (27/3), Jasa Marga recorded that the peak return flow still occurred on Tuesday, 24 March 2026, with 256,000 vehicles or an increase of 99.0% compared to normal. The majority of homecomers came from the east (Trans-Java and Bandung) at 62.1%,” Rivan stated.

This number increased by 42.2% compared to normal conditions. From the total, around 91,000 vehicles are estimated to have entered through the Cikampek Utama toll gate from the Trans-Java direction, up 153.5%.

“Based on this data, Jasa Marga continues to strengthen services on several main toll roads by optimising toll booth operations, preparing toll road service fleets, conducting situational traffic management, and ensuring 24-hour readiness of personnel,” Rivan said.

Rivan also urged the public to prioritise safety when passing through traffic engineering such as one-way or contraflow, especially during the final period of the Lebaran return flow.
