2,221 Soldier Candidates Undergo Selection at Kodam Pattimura
AMBON — The Commander of Kodam XV/Pattimura, Major General TNI Dody Triwinarto, has ensured that the selection process for Indonesian Army (TNI AD) soldier candidates within the Kodam XV/Pattimura environment is carried out transparently and accountably, based on objective and comprehensive selection results.
Speaking in Ambon on Monday, Dody stated that digitalisation and transparency in the selection process are being continuously developed to increase public trust while ensuring that the selected candidates meet the standards of the Indonesian Army.
“Digitalisation and transparency in the selection process are being continuously developed to enhance public confidence and to ensure the selection of soldiers who possess quality, ability, resilient character, and loyalty, and who are accountable,” he said.
This was conveyed by Dody while presiding over the Selection Session for Career Soldier (PK) Enlisted (Cata) Candidates, Wave III for the 2026 Fiscal Year, at the Sub Panpus Kodam XV/Pattimura level, held at the Rindam XV/Pattimura Heli Shelter in Suli Village.
A total of 2,221 candidates are participating in the series of selection stages, which are expected to last approximately 16 days.
The selection is conducted in stages, including administrative checks, health examinations, physical tests, psychological assessments, and personnel research (litpers).
According to Dody, all these stages are vital components for assessing the quality, ability, health, mental fortitude, and integrity of the candidates before they are officially enrolled in training.
“Every passing decision must be based on the accumulation of comprehensive and objective selection data,” he noted.
He added that a transparent, modern, and high-quality recruitment system is increasingly important as the formation of the TP Stage VI unit enters its second year, particularly to meet personnel requirements.
Dody also expressed his appreciation to the selection committee for executing the recruitment process swiftly, accurately, and precisely, and urged all parties to maintain the principle of objectivity throughout the selection process.
In addition to the selection process, he requested that education commanders ensure the readiness of infrastructure and facilities for the candidates who pass, including barracks, classrooms, and other supporting facilities.
He emphasised that all such facilities must be clean, suitable, and ready to support the implementation of soldier training.
