JAKARTA — As many as 19 long-distance train journeys from and to Jakarta were cancelled on Tuesday (28/4/2026) following a collision between the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek and a KRL at East Bekasi Station on Monday (27/4/2026) night.

The cancellations are part of operational adjustments on the Daop 1 Jakarta line.

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta stated that these adjustments impact journeys from and to Gambir Station and Pasar Senen Station.

“We apologise for the inconvenience experienced by customers due to this train service disruption,” said Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, in a written statement on Tuesday morning.

“KAI also urges customers to monitor the latest information through official KAI channels and to reconsider their travel schedules,” he added.

Previously, the collision occurred between the Cikarang-bound KRL number PLB 5568A and the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek on the Gambir–Surabaya Pasar Turi route around 20:52 WIB on Monday night. The incident took place on the platform at East Bekasi Station KM 28+920.

As a result of the incident, seven KRL passengers died and 81 others were injured. The victims have been evacuated to several healthcare facilities, including RSUD Bekasi, RS Bella Bekasi, RS Primaya, RS Mitra Plumbon Cibitung, RS Bakti Kartini, RS Siloam East Bekasi, RS Hermina, as well as RS Mitra Keluarga East Bekasi and West Bekasi.

Meanwhile, 240 passengers on the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek were reported safe.
