19 Inter-Provincial Buses Disciplined by Jakarta Transport Agency at Shadow Terminals
JAKARTA - Ahead of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming exodus, the Governor of DKI Jakarta has highlighted the proliferation of shadow terminals, which are busier than official ones. This situation is seen as potentially causing security and order issues, particularly with the anticipated surge in passengers. Despite warnings of crackdowns, several inter-provincial (AKAP) buses were still found operating from shadow terminals in Jakarta. The Head of the West Jakarta Transport Sub-Department, Susilo Dewanto, through Operational Section Head Agus Prasetyo, explained that the enforcement was carried out by three teams from the West Jakarta Transport Sub-Department, deployed to various shadow terminal activity points such as Jalan Outer Ring Road Kapuk, Jalan Latumenten, and Jalan KH Moh Mansyur. “The results showed that Team 1 disciplined 7 buses, consisting of 2 buses from PT Putri Jaya Sejahtera, 2 from PT Anugrah Mas, 1 from PT Pelita Baru Prima, 1 from PT Sinar Jaya Megah, and 1 from PT Karya Transfor,” he said, quoted from an official statement on Friday (20/3/2026). Meanwhile, Team 2 disciplined 2 buses, namely 1 from PT Anugrah Mas and 1 from PT Gradi 88. Team 3 disciplined 10 buses, namely 1 from PT Hiba Pratama, 1 from PT Santika, 1 from PT Harapan Jaya, 1 from PT Mayora, 2 from PT Anugrah Mas, 1 from PT Kramat Jati, 1 from PT Semesta Bolo, 1 from PT Yoso Artopotro, and 1 from PT Dzakki Buana Tour. “From the operation, a total of 19 AKAP buses were issued Inspection Report Tickets (BAP) by the officers,” he clarified. “We will continue to conduct routine monitoring and enforcement, especially ahead of the homecoming period, to ensure all buses pick up and drop off passengers at the designated official terminals,” he added.
