18 national holidays and 8 collective leave days set for 2027, see the dates!
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The government, through coordination by the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK), has designated 18 national holidays and eight collective leave days for 2027.
“So, we have agreed that the number of national holidays is 18 days in 2027, the majority of which are religious, and the number of collective leave days in 2027 is eight days,” said Coordinating Minister Pratikno in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He affirmed that the decision took many factors into account, both national holidays that are already definitive or fixed, and collective leave days considering the public’s ability to carry out customary rituals and traditions during major religious festivals.
“We also took into account positions related to Saturdays and Sundays, Eid homecoming travel, and so on,” he explained.
He explained that the collective leave applies to State Civil Apparatus (ASN), whilst for the private sector, collective leave is optional.
“So it can be implemented, or not,” said Pratikno.
