Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has recorded a total of 18,943 people using the fleet of the SH2 route (Blok M-Soekarno-Hatta Airport) during the Lebaran holiday outbound and return flow period in 2026, from 13 to 25 March.

“The SH2 route service is a tangible manifestation of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s commitment to facilitating public travel directly from the city centre to our international air gateway,” said Transjakarta President Director Welfizon Yuza in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.

According to him, the route is a strategic initiative from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to provide convenience for the public in travelling to and from the heart of Jakarta via Blok M Terminal, with direct access to Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta).

Observing the positive growth trend on the SH2 route, Transjakarta is committed to enhancing service standards on that route, one of which is through improvements to facilities at departure points.

“Transjakarta will optimise facilities at the main stopping points, both at Soekarno-Hatta Airport Terminal and Blok M Terminal,” said Welfizon.

In addition, they are also providing luggage racks to facilitate passengers carrying a lot of items.

Another effort, he said, is to adjust bus departure schedules with flight schedules at Soekarno-Hatta Airport to ensure punctuality for passengers.

“Transjakarta continues to conduct evaluations and innovations in line with the directives of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. We want to ensure that every public journey, whether for work or holiday travel, is served safely, comfortably, and affordably,” stated Welfizon.

As is known, the Transjabodetabek SH2 route was officially launched by DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung on 12 March 2026. The route, with a track length of around 65.1 kilometres, has a waiting time of about 10-20 minutes, with a fleet of 14 bus units.
