A total of 175 officials within the Gianyar Regency Government were inaugurated on Thursday (27/8/2026). Gianyar Regent I Made Agus Mahayastra reminded the newly appointed officials to work according to regulations and not to seek additional income beyond their salaries and the employee performance allowance (TPP).

“Never accept orders that violate the law, because no one will take responsibility. Carry out your work according to your duties and the existing rules. Do not violate them,” Mahayastra said in his statement on Thursday.

Mahayastra said the hundreds of officials are administrative and supervisory employees within the Gianyar Regency Government. Among them, Kadek Wira Kesuma Negara was inaugurated as Head of the Governance and Cooperation Division at the Gianyar Regional Secretariat.

Also inaugurated were I Kadek Arnata as Head of the People’s Welfare Division of the Gianyar Regional Secretariat, I Made Darma Darsitha as Head of the Economy and Natural Resources Division, I Wayan Prayana as Head of the Development Administration Division, I Wayan Sumerta as Head of the General Affairs Division, and Made Sukania Dwiyani Prajnya Paramita as Head of the Organisation Division.

“Hopefully this is the best choice. Never think there is another source besides salary and TPP,” Mahayastra said.

Mahayastra said the 175 new officials were inaugurated through a transfer and placement process carried out with professional considerations. Therefore, they must be able to strengthen bureaucratic performance, work professionally, maintain integrity, and become an important part of continuing the development of Gianyar Regency.

“Every regional apparatus must have a clear work mechanism and working paper. Starting from what has been done, which parts are experiencing delays, to who has the authority to follow up on them,” he said.

In addition, the new officials are required to prioritise a work culture oriented towards completing tasks. Leadership directives must be translated into programme implementation that refers to development planning documents and the regional budget (APBD).

Coordination is also important. If there are policies that are unclear or require interpretation, officials are asked to resolve them through hierarchical coordination.

“If you are a section head, coordinate with the division head. If you are a division head, coordinate with the agency head. If the agency head still does not understand, coordinate with the assistant, and finally it reaches my desk,” he said.
