17 SPPG Units in Yogyakarta Suspended Over Licensing and Operational Standards

A total of 17 Nutritional Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) have been temporarily suspended. The operational halt is linked to incomplete licensing and failure to meet required standards.

Ni Made Dwipanti Indrayanti, Regional Secretary of DIY and Chair of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Task Force, stated that there are currently 462 SPPG units in DIY. Of these, 394 are operational, 51 have yet to commence operations, and 17 have been suspended.

“Seventeen have been suspended. Fifty-one are not yet operational, 394 are operational, making a total of 462,” Ni Made said when met at the Kepatihan Complex in Yogyakarta on Wednesday (29/7/2026).

Ni Made noted several factors leading to the temporary suspension. One key issue relates to the completeness of permits and the fulfilment of requirements and provisions in the implementation of the MBG programme.

“Yes, there are many factors. One of them concerns the completeness of permits. That was one of the things we communicated previously,” she said.

She cited the Hygiene Sanitation Eligibility Certificate (SLHS) as an example of a requirement that must be met. Additionally, management must ensure that food processing and standard operating procedures (SOP) are carried out in accordance with regulations.

According to her, the temporary suspension policy is a directive from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). SPPG units that have not met the standards are required to complete all requirements before they can resume operations.
