17 locations for phone payments

JAKARTA (JP): Chief of the East Jakarta Telecommunication Office, I Nyoman Punia announced yesterday that the office has appointed 17 post offices in Jakarta as locations for its customers to pay their telephone bills.

Punia said the appointment of the 17 post offices is aimed at replacing three bank counters, which are the Jatinegara and Rawamangun branches of Bank Nasional Indonesia (BNI) and the Rawamangun branch of Lippo Bank.

According to Punia, all 17 post offices are equipped with a computerized on-line system.

"The customers can go to any of the 17 post offices to pay their telephone bills. They do not have to stand in a bank's long queue anymore," Punia said.

Previously, customers whose telephone numbers are from 8190001 to 8199979 could only pay their bills at BNI's Jatinegara branch and customers whose numbers are from 4710193 to 4718993 could only pay their bills at the Rawamangun branch of BNI.

Five of the 17 post offices are located in East Jakarta. They are on Jl. Pahlawan Revolusi, Jl. Raya Bogor Pekayon, Jl. Kelapa Gading, Jl. Beringin Cijantung and Jl. Pemuda.

Five are located in West Jakarta, on Jl. Raya Kumala, Jl. Raya Meruya, Jl. Anggrek Rosliana, Jl. Banda Raya Kalideres and Jl. Daan Mogot.

Three are in South Jakarta, on Jl. R.S. Fatmawati, Jl. Kapt. Tendean and Jl. Kyai Maja.

Two are in North Jakarta, on Jl. Teratai Putih Malakasari and Jl. Ampera Timur and another two are situated in Central Jakarta. They are on Jl. Lapangan Banteng and Jl. Matraman Raya.
