17 KDMP units in West Aceh completed
Meulaboh (ANTARA) - Commander of Military District Command 0105 West Aceh, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Super Maljuna Kembaren, said that 17 Red and White Village Cooperative (KDMP) units in the regency have now completed their physical construction.
“Of the target of 87 units being built at this stage, 17 have now been completed. Construction is still ongoing and progressing,” Lieutenant Colonel Inf Super Maljuna Kembaren told reporters in Meulaboh on Monday.
He explained that Indonesian Army soldiers from the local military district command who are directly overseeing the project stated that the entire construction process is proceeding in stages to cover all planned villages.
Super Maljuna Kembaren said the KDMP construction programme is planned to cover 321 villages in West Aceh Regency.
He stressed that the main focus at present is ensuring the physical completion of buildings at all locations.
In addition to the physical completion of buildings, the military district commander also explained that a number of supporting facilities have begun to be distributed to ready locations, one of which is the operational truck fleet (Agrinas) to support cooperative activities.
He explained that 17 operational trucks have arrived and been allocated to each cooperative whose building is ready, such as in the UTB (Ujong Tanoh Darat) area, Arongan, and several other locations.
Regarding obstacles in the field, the implementing party did not deny the dynamics of price increases and scarcity of building materials, such as cement whose price briefly reached Rp100,000 per sack as well as limited availability of goods.
However, this has not deterred progress and has not been used as a reason to halt the national programme.
“For us Indonesian Army soldiers, there is no excuse of field obstacles to stop a national programme. Whatever it takes, this president’s flagship programme will continue to be implemented and completed,” he asserted.
Meanwhile, management operations and stocking of merchandise inside the cooperatives are still in the process of arrangement and further coordination with the managing parties and relevant agencies.
Military District Command 0105 West Aceh assured that it will continue to oversee the process until all buildings are completed and ready to be utilised by cooperative management for the welfare of village communities.
