168 Nutrition Service Units (SPPG) in Lombok Tengah Receive Hygiene and Sanitation Certificates
The Lombok Tengah Regency Government in West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB) has reported that 168 Nutrition Service Units (SPPG) operating across 12 districts have been issued hygiene and sanitation certificates (SLHS).
Lalu Setiawan, Secretary of the Lombok Tengah Regency Free Nutrition Programme (MBG) Task Force, said on Friday in Lombok Tengah: “There are currently 168 operational SPPG with SLHS, spread across 12 districts in Lombok Tengah.”
“Two issues identified by BGN caused several SPPG in Lombok Tengah to be temporarily closed. After meeting the requirements, these units were recommended to resume operations,” he added.
He stated that out of 178 SPPG points in Lombok Tengah, 10 are not yet operational as they are in the preparation phase.
According to preliminary data, the programme launched by President Prabowo Subianto has reached 413,793 beneficiaries in Lombok Tengah, comprising 326,946 students and educators.
“The MBG programme targeting pregnant women, nursing mothers, and toddlers (B3) has reached 86,847 people, bringing the total beneficiaries to 413,793,” he said.
The hygiene and sanitation certificates issued by the local government serve as written proof that SPPG kitchens can operate in compliance with regulations.
MBG kitchen wastewater is substantial and can damage the environment and disturb residents due to odours, so SPPG units are required to use standard-compliant wastewater treatment systems (IPAL).
“Intensive monitoring of SPPG units will continue to ensure the MBG programme runs as planned and benefits the community,” he added.
