162 Branch Offices Open During Eid Holiday Period, BSI Chief: IT Team on 24-Hour Standby
Jakarta — PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BSI) has ensured banking service readiness during the Eid holiday period by operating limited services at 162 outlets from 18-24 March 2026.
BSI Chief Executive Anggoro Eko Cahyo stated that the branch offices operating with limited services are distributed across various regions projected to have direct transaction needs.
The outlets can provide several transactions including account opening, ATM card blocking, cash deposits and withdrawals, and transfers between BSI accounts.
“During the Eid holiday period, the focus is not on financing, but rather on providing appreciation so customers can travel home comfortably and their transactions are secure,” he said at BSI Tower in Jakarta on Tuesday (17 March 2026).
Beyond branch office operations, BSI is optimising services through the BYOND superapp, BSI Call 14040, more than 6,000 ATM and CRM units, and approximately 126,000 agents spread across various regions.
Payment networks via QRIS and EDC will continue operating to support public transactions.
“Our IT team will be on 24-hour standby throughout the Eid holiday to ensure BSI customer transactions run smoothly,” he said.
To maintain adequate liquidity, BSI has prepared Rp45 trillion in cash distributed across branch offices and ATM machines.
This cash provision aims to meet increased cash withdrawal demand typically experienced approaching Eid.
“We have prepared Rp45 trillion during this Ramadhan and Eid period to ensure their cash needs are not disrupted,” he added.
