161 Hajj Pilgrims from West Aceh Ready to Depart in May 2026

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MEULABOH – The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) office in West Aceh has stated that 161 prospective Hajj pilgrims from the region are ready to be sent to Saudi Arabia in May 2026.

The Head of the Kemenhaj Office in West Aceh, Furqan, said that all departure requirements have been completed to about 95 percent.

“Insya Allah, all documents have been finalised. The pilgrims are now just waiting for the departure schedule,” said Furqan on Friday (27/3/2026).

He explained that his office is still awaiting the distribution of suitcases to be handed out to the pilgrims. Meanwhile, the Hajj manasik guidebook has begun to be distributed as material for independent learning.

In addition, important documents such as passports and visas have also been processed without any obstacles.

Furqan mentioned that the prospective Hajj pilgrims from West Aceh this year are grouped in flight cluster three together with other regions, namely 125 pilgrims from North Aceh and one pilgrim from Aceh Singkil.
