A teenager with the initials IDNKG (16) has been arrested by police after allegedly stealing 52 piglets from a farm in Banjar Temaga, Tiga Village, Susut District, Bangli. The perpetrator was detained in Banjar Pule, Kawan Subdistrict, Bangli Regency.

The Head of Public Relations for the Bangli Police, Iptu I Gede Gumiliarta, stated that the case was reported to the police on 8 June 2026 at around 3:00 p.m. local time. The perpetrator was successfully apprehended on the same day.

“IDNKG was arrested on the same day at 9:00 p.m. local time,” said Gumiliarta in a statement on Saturday (13/6/2026).

Gumiliarta explained that the theft began when the pig pen belonging to I Ketut Suardanta was targeted by IDNKG. The student, who attends a school in Bangli, did not act alone. He was accompanied by a friend with the initials KES when they raided Suardanta’s pig pen. The pen was targeted by IDNKG and KES at night.

During their operation, dozens of piglets were stolen by IDNKG and KES. The theft was only discovered by Suardanta when he instructed his employee to check on the dozens of pigs in the pen.

“After checking, it was confirmed that 52 of his piglets were missing. The victim searched for the piglets around the pen but they were not found,” Gumiliarta said.

Gumiliarta noted that IDNKG did not steal the dozens of piglets in a single night. The acts were carried out from early May 2026 until 7 June 2026. During that period, IDNKG is suspected of always acting together with KES. The victim suffered losses of up to Rp 52 million as a result of IDNKG’s criminal actions.

IDNKG has now been arrested, while KES remains a fugitive. “Currently, the Mobile Investigation Team of the Bangli Police Criminal Investigation Unit, joined by the Operational Unit of the Susut Police Sector, is still conducting further investigation and examination of the suspected perpetrator and searching for the other suspect,” he said.
