16 Items Seized by DKI Prosecutors from Ministry of Public Works, Mostly Notebooks

Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo stated that a team from the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati DKI) seized 16 items during a search at his office complex on Thursday (9 April 2026). He confirmed that the search took place in the Main Building, the Cipta Karya Building, and the Water Resources Building (SDA). “There were 16 items (taken). Most of them were notebooks,” Dody said at the Ministry of Public Works in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Friday (10 April 2026). He noted that the majority of the seized items came from the Cipta Karya Building. “So, most of them were taken from Cipta Karya,” he emphasised. However, Dody denied that investigators seized any mobile phones. In his explanation, Dody confirmed that his own office was also searched by the Kejati DKI team. “Yes (both rooms were searched). It’s like this: I gave permission to the investigators to search all the rooms in the Ministry of Public Works,” Dody said. Dody stressed that the search by law enforcement was legally conducted. However, he admitted to seeking permission from President Prabowo Subianto before the investigators searched his office. Dody revealed that the investigators also seized audit result documents and several books from his office.
