16 February 2026: Mobile Driving Licence Services in Jakarta–Bekasi Closed, Bogor Still Operating
Jakarta, VIVA – The mobile driving licence (SIM Keliling) service, commonly used by the public to renew their driving licences, has adjusted its schedule in mid-February due to the 2026 Chinese New Year national holiday and collective leave.
On Monday, 16 February 2026, driving licence issuance services across the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya) jurisdiction have been suspended. The temporary closure covers services at the Daan Mogot Satpas (driving licence processing centre), regional Satpas units, SIM counters, and mobile SIM vehicles.
The operational adjustment also applies on Tuesday, 17 February 2026. All services will resume normal operations from Wednesday, 18 February 2026, including Satpas and mobile SIM unit services.
Licence holders whose SIM expires on 16–17 February 2026 will still be given the opportunity to renew. The renewal process can be carried out on 18 February 2026 following standard renewal procedures. However, failure to renew by the deadline will require applicants to undergo the full new licence issuance procedure, including retaking both the theory and practical examinations.
In Bekasi, driving licence services are also suspended during the holiday period. Satpas, SIM counters, and mobile SIM services in the area will reopen normally on 18 February 2026.
Meanwhile, mobile SIM services in Bogor City have been specially arranged for Monday, 16 February 2026, for SIM A (car) and SIM C (motorcycle) renewals. Service locations are at the Main Lobby of BTM Mall and the car park of Jambu Dua Mall, with registration from 07:00 to 10:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB).
This service provides an alternative for residents wishing to renew their driving licences amid the operational schedule adjustments in several areas. Applicants are required to bring a valid national identity card (KTP), the original driving licence along with a photocopy, and to follow applicable health procedures.
In general, mobile SIM vehicles only handle renewals for SIM A and SIM C licences that are still valid. If a licence has expired and is not renewed within the given deadline, applicants must obtain a new licence at a Satpas.
In accordance with Government Regulation Number 60 of 2016 on Non-Tax State Revenue, the renewal fee for SIM A is Rp80,000 and for SIM C is Rp75,000.
