16 coastal villages in Bima Regency receive 2026 KNMP development programme

Bima (ANTARA) - Sixteen coastal villages in Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, have received the Kampung Nelayan Merah Putih (KNMP) development programme for 2026 from the central government through the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP).

Head of the Marine Affairs and Fisheries Office of Bima Regency, Tajuddin, said the implementation of the programme would begin with outreach to communities in the 16 recipient villages.

“For the initial stage, a team from the central government together with us from the regional government will first conduct outreach on this KNMP programme to the communities in the 16 villages. We will begin the outreach in Lamere Village on Wednesday, 26 August,” he said in Bima on Tuesday.

He said the KNMP development in the 16 villages would use funds from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) with varying amounts, ranging from Rp2 billion to Rp9 billion for each village, depending on the size of the land that has been agreed upon and provided by each village.

“For the first phase, the Bima Regency Government will receive a budget allocation of Rp50 billion. These funds will be used to facilitate the smooth construction of the KNMP in the 16 villages concerned,” he said.

Tajuddin explained that the physical construction and procurement of a number of KNMP facilities would be carried out by third parties appointed through a tender process by the central government.

“In this KNMP programme, there will be several types of activities carried out by third parties as the winners of the central government tender, such as physical construction and the procurement of a number of facilities for the fishing village,” he said.
