Bandung — West Java’s Transportation Agency (Dishub) has established 159 Lebaran Transport Posts positioned from main routes through to terminals and strategic locations to ensure smooth operations during the 2026 homecoming period.

“These posts serve as monitoring centres for passenger movement and traffic flow, whilst also providing information services and receiving public complaints,” said West Java Transportation Agency Head Dhani Gumelar in Bandung on Tuesday.

The 159 posts comprise four rest areas established jointly with the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub), located at the Regional Technical Implementation Unit for Road Transport Infrastructure Management (UPTD P3 LLAJ) Cirebon Region IV; Balonggandu Toll Bridge in Karawang; Losarang Toll Bridge in Indramayu; and Gentong Toll Bridge in Tasikmalaya.

Additionally, five integrated provincial road section posts have been established at strategic points including Gadog in Bogor, Cileunyi in Bandung, Cihuni in Garut, and in the Cirebon region.

Furthermore, 35 provincial hub posts are distributed across terminal type A facilities (13 terminals), terminal type B facilities (13 terminals), and three airports — Nusawiru, Husein Sastranegara, and Kertajati.

“We have also positioned posts at six ASDP seaports: Saguling, Cirata, Jatiluhur, Majingklak, Kalipucang, and Muara Gembong,” said Dhani.

All posts will become fully operational by 14 March 2026 at the latest, with 4,328 personnel deployed — a combined workforce from the provincial and district/city transportation agencies and all four UPTD regions.

For traffic monitoring during the 2026 homecoming period, Dhani stated that 26 analytical CCTV cameras have been positioned throughout West Java, with plans underway to deploy an additional 100 cameras functioning as an Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS).

“All monitoring will be centralised at West Java Digital Centre and the Transportation Agency headquarters, supplemented by traffic counting sensors installed at 10 locations,” said Dhani.
