157 Firms in West Java Reported Over Religious Holiday Bonus Violations
The West Java Labour and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans) has reported that 157 companies have been reported by worker unions regarding the payment of religious holiday bonuses (THR). The companies were reported for failing to pay the THR, paying amounts not in accordance with regulations, or for delayed payment.
Head of West Java Disnakertrans, I Gusti Agung Kim Fajar Wiyati Oka, stated that 157 companies were reported by 194 complainants concerning THR payments through to the end of the previous weekend. Complaints were filed through the poskothr.kemnaker.go.id portal.
Upon receipt of complaints, labour inspectors conduct investigations into the companies to verify the accuracy of the information provided by complainants. “If violations are found, companies will be issued an inspection notice as a warning regarding non-compliance with regulations concerning the payment of religious holiday bonuses,” he said on Tuesday (17 March 2026).
He explained that the warning takes the form of a notice level 1, which must be addressed within seven days. If, after the issuance of notice level 1, the company still fails to pay the THR, a notice level 2 will be issued, which must be complied with within seven days.
“If, after the issuance of notice level 2, the THR remains unpaid, a recommendation will be issued and submitted to the regional chief (governor/mayor/regent) for the imposition of administrative sanctions in the form of fines or restrictions on business activities,” he said.
He noted that Disnakertrans West Java opened a THR complaints desk on 14 March 2026 and will close it on 27 March 2026. Previously, consultation services related to THR were also provided from 2 March 2026 to 13 March 2026.
