15 MSMEs and 3 baristas from East Kalimantan participate in Karya Kreatif Indonesia 2026

Samarinda (ANTARA) - Fifteen leading Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) together with three of the best baristas from East Kalimantan Province are competing in the prestigious Karya Kreatif Indonesia (KKI) 2026 event in Jakarta.

Head of the Bank Indonesia (BI) Representative Office for East Kalimantan Province, Jajang Hermawan, in Samarinda on Friday, affirmed that the participation of the regional delegation is an important momentum to expand the exposure of local products, build business networks, and open wider market access at the national level and even for export.

“In East Kalimantan, MSME strengthening is directed at optimising the region’s cultural wealth and leading potential through improving business capacity and quality, expanding market access and financing, and accelerating digitalisation,” said Jajang.

The 11th annual event, taking place on 20–23 August 2026, was officially opened by the Acting Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI), Destry Damayanti.

At KKI 2026, the 15 MSMEs fostered by BI East Kalimantan are showcasing a variety of regional creative products, ranging from East Kalimantan’s distinctive wastra (traditional textiles) and crafts, fashion and handicrafts, to processed food and beverages based on local potential.

Among the participating MSMEs are Putri Mahakam, Pokan Takaq, Sarung Tenun Rahmadina, Qisbelin, Loa Honey, CV Matan Gallery, Manika Kaltim, and Kudungga Batik.

In addition to craft products, East Kalimantan’s participation is strengthened by three local baristas, namely Nanda Danuarta, M. Al Ghifari, and Joese Andrew Josly Kansil.
