15,000 Bottles of Alcohol Seized in Bogor Over Three Months Destroyed
Bogor Police, together with the local government, destroyed evidence of alcoholic beverages and narcotics seized within its jurisdiction. The destruction was carried out in conjunction with the 81st anniversary of Indonesian independence.
Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto said on Monday (17/8/2026) that 77 narcotics cases had been uncovered, with 91 suspects named. He stated that the alcohol and narcotics evidence resulted from enforcement actions by his personnel over three months, from June to August 2026. Millions of illegal prescription pills and more than ten thousand bottles of alcohol were destroyed.
“On this occasion, 1,500,000 certain hard drugs, 3 kilograms of methamphetamine, 2 kilograms of marijuana, 600 grams of synthetic tobacco, 1,193 ecstasy pills, and 15,688 bottles of alcohol of various brands and sizes will be destroyed,” he explained.
According to him, the enforcement and destruction reflect his commitment to eradicating the illicit circulation of narcotics, which could damage Indonesia’s younger generation.
“This activity is a commitment of the Bogor Regency Forkopimda in eradicating the illicit circulation of drugs that damage Indonesia’s younger generation, especially in Bogor society,” he said.
The destruction of evidence was also described as a form of transparency in combating drugs. He urged the public to take part in the fight against narcotics.
“I call on the younger generation to continue playing a role together with the Forkopimda and all elements of society to combat all forms of illicit drug trafficking,” he concluded.
