14th Forum on China-ASEAN Technology Transfer and Collaborative Innovation Opens in Nanning
Nanning, China — On 16 September, the 14th Forum on China-ASEAN Technology Transfer and Collaborative Innovation (FCATTCI) officially opened in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Under the theme ‘Shared AI, Shared Success’, the event explores innovative applications of AI through three main sessions: presentations from leading speakers, thematic seminars, and technology demonstrations.
During the opening session, several outcomes and cooperation mechanisms for ASEAN nations were announced. The achievements of the China-ASEAN Innovation Cooperation Centre for Artificial Intelligence were also introduced, reflecting the platform’s gradual progress in driving AI-related resource and innovation cooperation between China and ASEAN. The event also unveiled the first 14 AI application scenarios under the ‘ASEAN Challenges, China (Guangxi) Solutions’ programme, illustrating the implementation of the Guangxi development model: ‘R&D in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou + integration in Guangxi + application in ASEAN.’ Additionally, an awards ceremony for the 4th China-ASEAN Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held. These developments are expected to further strengthen China-ASEAN cooperation in technology transfer, innovation, entrepreneurship, and AI.
Other scheduled agendas include the opening session and main forum, the 8th ASEAN Plus Three (APT) Young Scientists Forum, the 4th Forum on China-ASEAN AI Cooperation, China-ASEAN Technology Matchmaking activities, various related seminars, and the China-ASEAN Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition China Tour. These activities are being held alongside the Exhibition on Advanced Technology of the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo. Through the concept of ‘integrating forums and exhibitions’, this series of agendas serves as a platform for participants to exchange ideas, explore innovation opportunities, and strengthen mutual understanding regarding science and technology cooperation. Such efforts are expected to accelerate the development of the China-ASEAN Innovation Community and strengthen the momentum towards a China-ASEAN community with a shared future.
