142 SPPG Units to Strengthen Free Nutritious Meal Programme in Bengkulu

The Bandar Lampung Nutrition Service Office (KPPG), which oversees the Lampung and Bengkulu working areas, has stated that 142 Nutrition Service Units (SPPG) will strengthen the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Programme (MBG) in Bengkulu Province. “Currently, there are 142 SPPG that will support the programme’s implementation, so it is hoped that service coverage will be wider and community nutrition fulfilment can run optimally,” said Achmad Hery Setiawan, Head of the Bandar Lampung KPPG for the Lampung and Bengkulu working areas, in Bengkulu on Tuesday. He stated that the existence of these 142 SPPG is an important part of supporting the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Programme in Bengkulu, particularly to expand the reach of nutrition fulfilment services for the community. Furthermore, he noted that strengthening coordination between the KPPG and local government is necessary so that the programme can run effectively and reach all designated target groups. The KPPG held an audience with the Bengkulu Provincial Government in an effort to align steps and strengthen synergy in supporting the implementation of the national programme in the region. “The Bengkulu Provincial Government is committed to fully supporting the Free Nutritious Meal Programme. Synergy between the local government, the Nutrition Service Office, and all stakeholders is key to ensuring this programme runs effectively, is well-targeted, and truly benefits the community,” said Herwan. The Free Nutritious Meal Programme is a national programme aimed at improving the nutritional quality of the community, especially students and other target groups, with the hope of supporting the improvement of human resources quality in the regions.
