14,000 stray dogs to be slaughtered

CIAMIS, West Java: About 14,000 stray dogs in the city will soon be slaughtered by the regency administration's antirabies team, Antara reported.

In addition, the team will vaccinate 6,000 domestic dogs, according to Kowara Suwarna from the local husbandry office. The operation will commence next month and is expected to control the spread of rabies in several parts of the Ciamis regency. (swe)
