14 New Suspects in Little Aresha Daycare Case Are Caregivers

A total of 14 people have been named as new suspects in the abuse case at Little Aresha daycare. Police stated that they are caregivers at the facility. The Head of Criminal Investigation at the Yogyakarta City Police, Kompol Risky Adrian, said that previously there were 17 witnesses who were required to report, and 14 of them have now been designated as suspects. “So yesterday there were 17 witnesses required to report. Well, 14 of them we have named as suspects,” Adrian said when contacted by reporters on Saturday (4/7/2026). He confirmed that the 14 individuals are caregivers at Little Aresha Daycare. Adrian mentioned that the summons for these individuals has been scheduled for Monday. “These 14 new suspects are the caregivers,” Adrian explained. “The summons for the 14 suspects has been scheduled for Monday,” he concluded. With these new suspects, the total number of suspects in the Little Aresha daycare case has reached 27, as there were previously 13 suspects. It was previously reported that the case of violence against children at Little Aresha daycare has drawn public attention. Children who were supposed to be cared for were instead tied up until they were picked up by their parents. “This inhumane treatment included placing them in an overloaded room with very minimal air circulation. They were tied using cloth made into a rope and bound to the door,” said Yogyakarta City Police Chief, Kombes Eva Guna Pandia, during a press conference at the Yogyakarta City Police headquarters on Monday (27/4/2026).
