Members of the public are required to bring the original identity card (KTP) of the vehicle owner, the vehicle ownership book (BPKB), and the vehicle registration certificate (STNK), each accompanied by a photocopy. Additionally, taxpayers must not have any vehicle tax arrears exceeding one year.

Mobile Samsat outlets only facilitate annual motor vehicle tax (PKB) payments. For five-year tax renewals and number plate replacements, taxpayers must visit the nearest Samsat office in person.

As an alternative, residents can utilise the National Digital Samsat (SIGNAL) application to complete PKB payments. The SIGNAL application allows for online motor vehicle tax payments across 33 provinces via mobile phone, with the STNK documents delivered directly to the user’s address. However, this application cannot be used by vehicle owners with tax arrears of more than one year; those individuals must still visit the nearest Samsat office.
