14 graft cases to be completed soon

KENDARI, Southeast Sulawesi: Prosecutors in Southeast Sulawesi
have shortlisted 14 graft cases to be dealt with immediately, a
senior official said on Wednesday.

The cases included graft cases allegedly committed by several
regents and councillors in the province, said the chief of
Southeast Sulawesi Prosecutor's Office, I Wayan Pasek Suartha.

The promise came after a call by president Susilo Bambang
Yudhoyono asking prosecutors to intensify efforts against
corruption nationwide in his first 100 days in office. -- JP
