13th Salary for Civil Servant Retirees to be Paid from 2 June

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The government has allocated funds for the 13th salary and allowances for Civil Servants (ASN) and retirees. This follows Presidential Regulation No. 9 of 2026 concerning Holiday Allowance and 13th Salary for State Officials, Retirees, Pensioners, and Allowance Recipients. PT TASPEN (Persero) confirmed disbursement will commence on Tuesday, 2 June 2026, via 46 payment partners across Indonesia. TASPEN Corporate Secretary Henra stated the payment process will be direct without requiring beneficiaries to submit applications or undergo re-authentication. “This payment reflects the nation’s appreciation for retirees’ contributions and demonstrates the government’s tangible commitment to ensuring the welfare of both active and retired civil servants,” Henra said in a written statement on Friday, 22 May 2026. Key points for the 2026 13th salary include: the amount is based on income components paid in May 2026, equivalent to one month’s allowance as per regulations; no deductions for contributions, retirement credits, or income tax, all covered by the government; if a civil servant or retiree has multiple beneficiary statuses, payment is made once based on the highest value benefit; those receiving both personal pension and widow/widower benefits will receive the 13th salary for both roles; civil servants and state officials retiring from 1 June 2026 onwards will have their 2026 13th salary paid by their last place of employment. The monthly basic pension (which also determines the 13th salary amount) is as follows: Grade I (Clerk): Rp1,748,100 - Rp2,256,700; Grade II (Supervisor): Rp1,748,100 - Rp3,208,800; Grade III (Manager): Rp1,748,100 - Rp4,029,600; Grade IV (Director): Rp1,748,100 - Rp4,957,100.
