13th Month Salary Released Today: Details on Civil Service, State Official and Pensioner Payments
Good news for Civil Service Apparatus members (ASN), state officials, and PNS pensioners. The 13th month salary for ASN and pensioners began to be released today, Tuesday, 2 June 2026. The disbursement of the 13th month salary for ASN pensioners will be channelled by PT TASPEN (Persero).
“Payment of the 13th month salary for pension recipients will be executed at the earliest on 2 June 2026,” TASPEN wrote in its Instagram post @taspen.
The 13th month salary policy is outlined in Presidential Regulation (PP) Number 9 of 2026. This regulation sets out the provision of holiday allowances and 13th month salary for state apparatus, pensioners, pension recipients, and allowance recipients.
The following are several important points in the implementation of 13th month salary payments in 2026:
The amount of 13th month salary is given based on income components paid in May 2026
The 13th month salary is not subject to contribution deductions and/or other deductions including pension credit deductions except for income tax, which is borne by the government
If a state apparatus member or pension recipient has more than one beneficiary status, the 13th month salary is only paid once, based on the benefit with the largest nominal value
For recipients who simultaneously receive pension or widow/widower allowance, the 13th month salary is paid for both, whether as an individual recipient or as a pension or widow/widower allowance recipient
For ASN employees and state officials who retire effective 1 June 2026 onwards, payment of the 13th month salary in 2026 is made by their last place of work
Components and Recipients of 13th Month Salary
In addition to ASN pensioners, the disbursement of 13th month salary is indeed set to be released at the earliest in June 2026. The amount of 13th month salary varies according to rank, position, rank level or class of position.
The 13th month salary components consist of base salary, family allowance, food allowance, position allowance or general allowance, and performance allowance.
Recipients of the 13th month salary are state apparatus members including PNS, CPNS, PPPK, TNI, Polri, state officials, pensioners, pension recipients and allowance recipients, and certain non-ASN employees in government institutions.
It should be noted that not all PNS members and TNI and Polri personnel are entitled to receive the 13th month salary. There are two categories of ASN that are not entitled to it. First, those on leave outside state responsibility or by another name. Second, those assigned outside government institutions either domestically or abroad whose salaries are paid by the assignment institution.
