136 Private Entrepreneurs Invest Rp3.29 Trillion in Dairy and Beef Cattle - Investor Daily
JAKARTA – A total of 136 private business actors have realised an investment in dairy and beef cattle farming amounting to Rp3.29 trillion as of 31 December 2025. They have brought in a total of 32,108 dairy and beef cattle to be developed in Indonesia in order to accelerate the population growth to support national self-sufficiency in milk and beef.
Data from the Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health of the Ministry of Agriculture shows that the realisation of cattle imports as of 31 December 2025 totals 32,108 animals by 136 private business actors with a total investment of Rp3.29 trillion, comprising 12,052 dairy cows by 62 business actors and 20,056 beef cattle by 74 business actors. This cattle import realisation is still lower than the targeted investment commitment to be achieved throughout 2025, namely 48,754 dairy cows by 193 business actors and 52,594 beef cattle by 86 business actors.
