Jakarta (ANTARA) - A total of 13 train services departing from Gambir Station will stop at Jatinegara Station today due to the National Dhikr and Prayer event held in the Monas area, Central Jakarta.

“The event has the potential to cause traffic congestion and vehicle diversions on several roads leading to Gambir Station,” said Franoto Wibowo, Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, in an official statement on Saturday.

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta has taken this step to provide an alternative for passengers who may face difficulties reaching Gambir Station due to traffic conditions.

The 13 train services receiving the additional stop at Jatinegara Station are:

  • KA Brawijaya (Gambir–Malang), departing Gambir at 15:45 WIB

  • KA Bima (Gambir–Surabaya Gubeng), departing Gambir at 17:00 WIB

  • KA Gajayana (Gambir–Malang), departing Gambir at 18:50 WIB

  • KA Cakrabuana (Gambir–Purwokerto), departing Gambir at 19:10 WIB

  • KA Sembrani (Gambir–Surabaya Pasar Turi), departing Gambir at 19:30 WIB

  • KA Pandalungan (Gambir–Jember), departing Gambir at 19:55 WIB

  • KA Argo Anggrek (Gambir–Surabaya Pasar Turi), departing Gambir at 20:30 WIB

  • KA Argo Lawu (Gambir–Solo Balapan), departing Gambir at 20:45 WIB

  • KA Purwojaya (Gambir–Cilacap), departing Gambir at 20:55 WIB

  • KA Taksaka (Gambir–Yogyakarta), departing Gambir at 21:20 WIB

  • KA Gunungjati (Gambir–Cirebon), departing Gambir at 22:05 WIB

  • KA Manahan (Gambir–Solo Balapan), departing Gambir at 22:50 WIB

  • KA Argo Anjasmoro (Gambir–Surabaya Pasar Turi), departing Gambir at 23:35 WIB

“Passengers choosing to board from Jatinegara Station must account for travel time to the station and arrive earlier,” said Franoto.

Meanwhile, the Jakarta Transportation Agency has also advised the public, particularly long-distance train users travelling to or from Gambir Station, to manage their travel time, use alternative routes, comply with existing traffic regulations, and follow the instructions of officers on the ground to ensure safety and smooth mobility.
