13 Suspects Undergo Reconstruction in Little Aresha Daycare Abuse Case
Thirteen suspects in the alleged abuse case at Little Aresha Daycare, Yogyakarta, were brought to the daycare location in Umbulharjo, Yogyakarta City, for a crime scene reconstruction. The parents of the victims were also present to witness the proceedings.
According to observations at the scene, the suspects arrived in a Yogyakarta City Police minibus at approximately 10:15 WIB. The thirteen suspects, all wearing orange detainee uniforms, were handcuffed to one another.
The reconstruction process commenced at 10:35 WIB, beginning with one suspect simulating the act of picking up a child in front of the daycare, followed by the reenactment of several other key scenes.
It was previously reported that the police, alongside the Yogyakarta District Attorney’s Office and the Yogyakarta High Prosecutor’s Office, would conduct the reconstruction regarding the alleged violence at Little Aresha Daycare. The reconstruction was held behind closed doors.
‘It is reported that the Child Protection Unit (PPA) investigators of the Yogyakarta City Police, together with the District and High Prosecutor’s Offices, will carry out the reconstruction of the criminal act of violence against children that occurred at Little Aresha Daycare on Tuesday, 9 June 2026, at approximately 10:00 WIB,’ stated the Acting Head of Public Relations for Yogyakarta City Police, Iptu Dani Hasan, to reporters on Monday (8/6/2026).
‘The media is permitted to cover the event, but since the reconstruction takes place inside the house, coverage must adapt to the situation and circumstances. The suspects are also present,’ he added.
Thirteen individuals have been officially named as suspects and are currently in custody. The Yogyakarta Police Chief, Kombes Eva Guna Pandia, revealed that all thirteen suspects are female. They have been identified by their initials as DK (51), AP (42), FN (30), NF (26), Lis (34), EN (26), SRm (54), DR (32), HP (47), ZA (30), SRj (50), DO (31), and DM (28).
‘The first is DK, the Chairperson of the Foundation. The second is AP, the headteacher. The other eleven individuals acted as caregivers,’ Pandia explained during a press conference at the Yogyakarta Police Headquarters on Monday afternoon.
