13 Regions Receive Approval to Proceed with Downstream Projects

Minister of Investment and Downstream Industries/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani has stated that he will accelerate the downstream programme after receiving permission from President Prabowo Subianto. He shared this good news via his Instagram account on Saturday, 25 April 2026. Rosan said that the downstream programme will be built in 13 locations in Indonesia. Regarding the incoming investments, they will be focused on several main sectors, such as waste-to-energy, mineral resources, agricultural industry, labour-intensive, and the garment sector. “Thank you, Mr President Prabowo, for the guidance today in Hambalang regarding the progress of the downstream programme, which will subsequently be built in 13 locations in Indonesia,” he wrote. He added that downstream activities are no longer limited to the energy and mineral sectors.
