The Digital Connectivity Appreciation Programme organised by detikcom has officially entered the second stage of judging. A total of 13 nominations from various sectors are currently being assessed to determine the extent of their contributions to promoting equitable digital connectivity in Indonesia.

This judging stage serves as a crucial moment to evaluate various initiatives that have been implemented in the field, while also providing reflection for policymakers in accelerating national digital development.

“I hope this event will be beneficial for all of us and for Indonesian society in terms of digital connectivity. It could serve as a reflection or portrait of digital connectivity in Indonesia and play a role for policymakers in adopting policies that promote digital connectivity,” said Irwan Nugroho, Managing Editor and Head of Media Researcher at detikcom, on Tuesday (14/4/2026).

Irwan emphasised that the judging process is not solely based on documents but also involves direct field verification to ensure the validity of participants’ data.

“We have deployed our contributors and journalists to the regions to conduct on-site validation and verification to check whether the data provided by participants—through forms or our telephone confirmations—is indeed accurate according to the facts on the ground,” he explained.

The judging is conducted by 10 jurors from government, industry, associations, and media. The jury panel consists of:
