KAI Commuter has reinstated additional services on the Bogor Commuter Line following an evaluation of operational adjustments implemented since Monday, 7 September 2026. These previous adjustments were necessitated by intensive maintenance work on the KRL rolling stock.

Starting Thursday, 10 September 2026, the operator will operate 13 additional trips on the Bogor Commuter Line. This increase follows KAI Commuter’s monitoring of passenger density levels that emerged during the recent period of adjusted services.

VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda, stated that the evaluation was conducted to adjust operational patterns and optimise service availability across all lines. “This step was taken by regulating the circulation pattern of Commuter Line rolling stock across all service lines to optimise the number of scheduled trips,” she emphasised.

According to Karina, the additional trips were achieved through engineering the circulation pattern of the Commuter Line sets. One method involves diverting sets that previously operated on the Tanjung Priok line to serve the Bogor line.

“With the operation of these sets, the number of Bogor Commuter Line trips will increase by 13,” she added.

This addition is expected to strengthen carrying capacity and meet the travel needs of Bogor Commuter Line users, particularly following the recent reduction in services. Consequently, the total number of Jabodetabek Commuter Line trips will increase from 1,048 (recorded between 7–9 September) to 1,061 starting 10 September 2026.

The use of sets from the Tanjung Priok line to support Bogor Line operations means that the Tanjung Priok Commuter Line service will temporarily use sets from the Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Basoetta) line. Despite the change in rolling stock, KAI Commuter ensures that fares, services, and schedules for the Tanjung Priok line remain unchanged.

However, the use of Airport Line sets to support the Tanjung Priok line will impact the number of trips on the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Line. KAI Commuter is adjusting the schedule for the Airport Line starting Thursday, 10 September 2026, with the number of trips decreasing from 70 to 52.

KAI Commuter reminds Airport Line users to re-check their schedules before travelling. This adjustment is crucial, especially for passengers who already hold tickets for affected schedules. For passengers affected by the schedule changes, KAI Commuter provides several options: passengers may use departure times before or after the time stated on their tickets, or they may request a full 100 per cent refund via the ticket counters at Airport Line stations.

Latest information regarding schedules and ticket bookings for the Airport Line can be obtained via the C-Access or Access By KAI applications.

KAI Commuter stated that this change in travel patterns is part of an operational evaluation following the maintenance of the KRL rolling stock. Through the engineering of circulation patterns, the operator aims to optimise the number of trips while maintaining sufficient carrying capacity for commuters across all service lines.

“KAI Commuter sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused by the temporary adjustments to the Commuter Line services on the affected lines,” concluded Karina.
