13,000 Part-Time Government Contract Workers in Central Java to Receive Eid Holiday Allowance
Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi has confirmed that 13,000 part-time government contract workers (PPPK) in Central Java will receive Eid holiday allowances (Tunjangan Hari Raya/THR) for Lebaran 2026. Luthfi stated that the allowance amounts will be calculated based on their appointment date, specifically from January 2026 onwards.
Following a coordination meeting of regional leaders (Forkopimda) in Central Java in preparation for Eid 2026, Luthfi announced that THR payments for private sector employees in Central Java will be made seven days before Eid. “Including in Central Java, part-time PPPK workers will receive THR,” he said whilst giving a press statement at Gradhika Bakti Praja Building, the Complex of the Central Java Governor’s Office, in Semarang City on Monday 9 March 2026.
The former Central Java police chief revealed that there are currently 13,000 part-time PPPK workers in Central Java. “We have budgeted nearly 6 billion rupiah (for THR), which we will distribute. On 13 March, we will distribute it to part-time PPPK workers,” he said.
According to Luthfi, the THR amounts received by part-time PPPK workers in Central Java will vary. “They will receive allowances according to their appointment proportion calculated from 1 January 2026. Those who have been appointed for more than a year will receive the full amount. Those appointed from 1 January 2026 onwards will receive allowances proportional to their appointment duration,” he explained.
