129 Narcotics Cases Uncovered in Two-Week Operation in West Nusa Tenggara

A total of 129 cases of narcotics abuse and trafficking were uncovered during the two-week enforcement phase of Operation Antik Rinjani 2026, conducted across West Nusa Tenggara.

Head of Public Relations of the NTB Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Mohammad Kholid, said in Mataram on Tuesday that the more than one hundred narcotics cases were uncovered through massive enforcement by the NTB Police Narcotics Directorate and the narcotics units of district and municipal police forces.

“Of the 129 cases uncovered by the Regional Police and the district police forces, 27 were operation targets and 102 were non-target cases,” he said.

From the more than one hundred cases uncovered, a quantity of narcotics evidence was seized, dominated by 5.5 kilograms of dried cannabis.

“There was also nearly half an ounce of methamphetamine, one cannabis plant, three pills, 922.86 grams of magic mushrooms, and Rp173 million in cash,” he said.

During the police operation, which ran for two weeks from 27 July to 9 August 2026, it was also announced that three members of the Indonesian National Police had been named as suspects.

Two of them have been placed in special detention at the NTB Regional Police. Those arrested in the Sayang-sayang area of Mataram City are identified by the initials IDMA, a member of the NTB Police Narcotics Directorate, and IKM, a member of the West Lombok Police.

The third, with the initial A, is a member of the Bima City Police who was arrested in the Rompo area, Langgudu District, Bima Regency.

In addition to facing criminal proceedings, the three police officers are also undergoing examination for alleged disciplinary and ethical violations by the NTB Police Professional and Internal Affairs Division.
