128,331 Citizens Register for 81st Independence Day Ceremony Invitations at Palace
Jakarta (ANTARA) - A total of 128,331 registrants from 36 provinces in Indonesia and 14 countries signed up for invitations to the 81st Indonesian Independence Day commemoration ceremony at the Merdeka Palace on the first day of registration.
State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi said the high number of registrants reflects the public’s great enthusiasm to attend the Independence Day ceremony at the Merdeka Palace.
“Alhamdulillah, the public’s enthusiasm is extraordinary. On the first day yesterday, 128,331 people were recorded as participating in the ‘war ticket’, spread across 36 provinces, and there were even participants from abroad,” he said.
According to Prasetyo, registrants came not only from all provinces in Indonesia but also from 14 countries, including the United States, Australia, Russia, Germany, the United Kingdom, Turkey, France, Saudi Arabia, the Netherlands, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia.
He expressed his appreciation to all members of the public who participated in the registration, as the high level of interest demonstrates a spirit of nationalism and a desire to witness the 81st Indonesian Independence Day ceremony in person.
Prasetyo also apologised to those who did not get the opportunity to secure an invitation on the first day. However, he noted that the public still has a chance to register, as the government reopened the registration quota on Thursday at 10.00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time.
The public is urged to continue monitoring official information and follow all registration requirements through the pandang.istanapresiden.go.id website to ensure the registration process proceeds in an orderly and smooth manner.
