Public enthusiasm for registering as a participant in the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia ceremony at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, has been very high. On the first day of the invitation scramble, which opened on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, 128,331 people were recorded as having registered.

“Alhamdulillah, the public’s enthusiasm is extraordinary. Yesterday, on the first day, 128,331 people were recorded as participating in the war ticket, spread across 36 provinces,” said Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi in a written statement on Thursday (6/8/2026).

Pras said the registrants were not only from within the country but also from abroad. “Among them are the United States, Australia, Russia, Germany, the United Kingdom, Turkey, France, Saudi Arabia, the Netherlands, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia,” he said.

Pras expressed his appreciation to all citizens who participated in the invitation war ticket. According to him, the high level of public interest reflects the national spirit and enthusiasm to witness firsthand the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia ceremony.

“Thank you to all citizens who have registered to take part in the war ticket for the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia ceremony at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta,” he said.

Furthermore, Pras apologised to members of the public who had not yet managed to obtain an invitation. He asked the public not to worry because registration would reopen today.

“We apologise to the public who did not get the opportunity to obtain an invitation yesterday. Today (6/8) at 10.00 WIB, the war ticket will reopen. So, the public need not worry, there is still an opportunity to try again,” said Pras.

The Minister of State Secretary also invited the public to continue monitoring official information regarding the implementation of the invitation scramble and to follow all established provisions so that the registration process can proceed in an orderly and smooth manner.
