A total of 122 victims of the KMP Mutiara Sentosa II fire have arrived on land via Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya and Kalianget Port in Sumenep as of early Monday (3/8). Five people have been confirmed dead in the incident.

Head of the Surabaya Search and Rescue Office and SAR Mission Coordinator Nanang Sigit PH stated that 113 victims were evacuated through Tanjung Perak Port, while nine others arrived at Kalianget Port aboard the KN SAR 249 Permadi.

‘We prioritised the disembarkation of 111 survivors from the KM Meratus Pematang Siantar. They were then taken to the Gapura Surya Nusantara Terminal for data collection by joint officers,’ he said.

According to Nanang, all victims arriving at Tanjung Perak Port underwent medical examinations, and those requiring further treatment were referred to hospital. At Kalianget Port, four victims were referred to Garam Sumenep Hospital, while five others were sent to Surabaya after being registered.

Nanang added that as of early Monday, the joint SAR team had evacuated a total of 234 passengers, comprising 229 survivors and five fatalities, based on confirmation from all vessels involved in the operation. He noted that three more ships—KM Ferindo 1, Selaras Mas, and KRI Nala-363—are still transporting victims and are currently en route to Surabaya.
