120,000 porn VCDs destroyed in Bandung

BANDUNG, West Java: West Java Provincial Police destroyed
120,000 pornographic VCDs and more than 29,000 bottles of alcohol
seized from the city's black market on the eve of Ramadhan.

The VCDs and alcohol, comprising 14 international brands, were
destroyed at the Provincial Police Headquarters in the presence
of Deputy Chief of Provincial Police Brig. Gen. Deddy S.
Komarudin, local Muslim clerics, and staff from both the
prosecutors office the local tax and excise office.

"This a serious warning to the local people that the police
are serious in fighting against alcoholic drinks and pornographic
VCDs," said Deddy.

He called on local people to avoid consuming alcohol and
watching pornographic films during the fasting month. --JP
