The enforcement of TNI service houses in the Slipi area, West Jakarta, has finally been explained by TNI Headquarters. The evacuation step, which had attracted public attention, is not without reason but is part of the arrangement of state assets as well as for the benefit of active soldiers.

There are 12 units of service houses that were regulated by the TNI Headquarters Military Police. These houses are known to be occupied by parties who no longer have the right, namely children of TNI retirees who have passed away.

“Therefore, according to the provisions, they are not entitled to occupy service houses,” said the Head of the TNI Information Centre (Kapuspen) TNI, Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, to reporters, quoted on Wednesday, 6 May 2026.

Legal efforts were actually attempted by the occupants. However, the lawsuit filed at the West Jakarta District Court up to the appeal level ended in rejection. This became the basis for the TNI to continue the enforcement.

“The enforcement of service houses in the Slipi complex, West Jakarta, was carried out based on the certificate of right to use number 362 of 1993 in the name of the Ministry of Defence, Minister of Defence Regulation (Permenhan) number 13 of 2018 and Commander Regulation (Perpang) Number 48 of 2015 on the Development of State Houses in the TNI Environment,” he said.

Not only based on regulations, the evacuation process is also said to have gone through a long stage. Warning after warning has been issued before firm action is taken in the field.

“Previously, warning letters were given three times plus the opportunity to vacate independently before the evacuation was carried out by the TNI Headquarters Military Police,” he said.

Even the last mediation on 16 April 2026 is said to have resulted in an agreement from the occupants to leave voluntarily. However, until the deadline, evacuation still had to be carried out by officers.

“Thus, at the time, the TNI Headquarters Military Police carried out the evacuation of the 12 service houses, so that in the future they can be occupied by active soldiers who are currently still struggling to obtain housing or renting outside,” he said.

According to Aulia, this step is also part of the TNI’s commitment to maintaining the orderly administration of State-Owned Goods (BMN) and ensuring that state facilities are used on target.

“So that its distribution is more on target and able to support the readiness and welfare of TNI Headquarters personnel in carrying out their duties,” he added.
