12 teams join TP PKK Cempaka Putih cooking competition to enliven Independence Day
Jakarta (ANTARA) - A total of 12 teams took part in a cooking competition organised by the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) team of Cempaka Putih District, Central Jakarta, to enliven the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia’s independence.
Cempaka Putih District Head Igan M Faisal said the participants consisted of PKK representatives from three urban villages, the Cempaka Putih District Secretariat, and cross-sectoral elements.
“A total of 12 teams joined this cooking competition, comprising nine teams representing three urban village PKK groups, one team from the District Secretariat, and two teams from cross-sectoral elements,” Igan said in Jakarta on Friday.
He noted that the activity was not only a platform to determine the best dish but also a means to strengthen ties and enhance togetherness among PKK cadres and community members.
“This activity serves as a momentum to strengthen ties, boost creativity, explore the potential of PKK cadres, and reinforce the spirit of togetherness and mutual cooperation among the community of Cempaka Putih District,” Igan said.
He expressed hope that the competition would produce food creations that could be applied for family needs as well as developed into business opportunities.
“From this competition, it is hoped that stronger ties and togetherness will be forged among PKK cadres, and that menu innovations will emerge which can be applied in daily life or developed into potential family businesses,” Natania said.
