12.7 Million People Have Submitted Tax Returns by Midday
Jakarta, VIVA – The Director General of Taxation at the Ministry of Finance, Bimo Wijayanto, announced that as of 30 April 2026, the number of submissions for the Annual Income Tax Notice (SPT PPh) for the 2025 tax year has reached 12.7 million taxpayers (WP). Bimo stated that this figure represents reports received up to 12:00 WIB on the final day for submitting corporate SPT PPh across Indonesia. “Here, we are reviewing the final day of submissions for the 2025 corporate SPT PPh, tax year 2025. We can report that as of 12 o’clock, 12.7 million SPTs have been received,” Bimo said during a press conference while visiting the Jakarta Madya Tax Office on Thursday. He explained that this achievement indicates fairly good participation from taxpayers in fulfilling their annual tax reporting obligations to the government on a national scale. According to him, the current SPT compliance rate has reached around 67% of the total taxpayers required to submit SPTs. Meanwhile, the realisation of reporting against this year’s SPT target has reached around 83.2% of the 15 million taxpayer target. “The achievement from those obligated to submit SPT is around 67%, and from this year’s SPT target, 83.2%. Thanks to this performance, the growth in revenue has, alhamdulillah, been positive compared to the same period last year,” he revealed. Furthermore, according to him, the Directorate General of Taxation is still awaiting additional reports from taxpayers, both for individual SPT PPh, corporate SPT PPh, and Value Added Tax SPT. (Ant)
