12,128 Participants Join Fourth Phase of 2026 National Vocational Training

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The government, through the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker), has commenced the fourth batch of the 2026 National Vocational Training, involving 12,128 participants simultaneously across various regions.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated that this programme is part of the economic stimulus for the second semester of 2026, as well as a directive from President Prabowo Subianto to strengthen workforce readiness in facing changing labour market needs.

“The President is encouraging vocational training so that the skills gap can be reduced,” said Coordinating Minister Airlangga in an official statement from the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower in Jakarta on Tuesday.

According to Airlangga, talent requirements continue to evolve, particularly within the digital and green economy sectors.

“Therefore, this is one of the initiatives promoted by the President, making retraining and reskilling in these two leading sectors extremely important,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Manpower, Yassierli, explained that the duration of the training is adjusted according to the type of competency provided. Participants also receive an allowance and training facilities in accordance with the programme’s regulations.

Upon completing the training, participants will receive competency certificates from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP).
