117 Hilal Observation Sites, ASN Flats in IKN One of Them
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Ministry of Religious Affairs has set 117 hilal observation locations as part of the rukyat method in the Isbat session for determining the date of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah. The results of the rukyatul hilal will ultimately determine 1 Syawal. “The determination of the start of Syawal 1447 H will await reports of rukyatul hilal results from all regions, which will then be discussed in the Isbat session,” said Director General of Islamic Community Guidance, Abu Rokhmad, quoted from the Kemenag.go.id website, Wednesday (18/3/2026). One of them is in East Kalimantan. Kemenag has designated the hilal observation point at the ASN Tower D Flats, Nusantara Capital (IKN).
