116,000 Customers Utilise Electricity Power Upgrade Discount

PT PLN (Persero) has recorded 116,537 customers throughout Indonesia utilising the 50% discount programme for electricity power upgrades titled “Power Up Real, Listrik Aman Kerja Lancar”. PLN implemented the programme from 15 to 28 April 2026 to support customers’ electricity needs, particularly during work-from-home (WFH) implementations and daily household activities.

PLN Retail and Commerce Director Adi Priyanto stated that household electricity needs continue to rise in line with increasing societal activities at home. Therefore, PLN introduced this programme so that customers can obtain more reliable electricity services at more affordable costs.

“This programme has helped customers experience the benefits of more reliable electricity in supporting various daily activities, whether WFH, business, or other home-based endeavours,” Adi said, quoted from a written statement on Thursday, 7 May 2026.

He explained that the power change from 900 Volt-Ampere (VA) to 1,300 VA was the most popular choice among customers during the programme, with 25,881 participants, accounting for approximately 22.21% of the total programme realisations.

Additionally, 24,116 customers upgraded from 1,300 VA to 2,200 VA. Meanwhile, the upgrade from 450 VA to 900 VA was utilised by 18,515 customers.

According to Adi, the high public interest indicates that household electricity needs are continuously increasing, both for work, running businesses, and supporting daily comfort.

PLN is also continuing to encourage digital transformation through the optimisation of PLN Mobile. Through the app, customers can access power upgrade services more quickly, conveniently, and transparently.

The “Power Up Real, Listrik Aman Kerja Lancar” programme targets single-phase low-voltage customers with initial capacities from 450 VA to 5,500 VA. Customers can upgrade up to 7,700 VA with a 50% discount on costs via the PLN Mobile app.
