113,000 train tickets still available for Lebaran return flow
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT KAI’s Jakarta Operational Area 1 (Daop 1) has recorded 113,175 seats (tickets) still available for long-distance trains departing from 29 March to 1 April 2026, or the Lebaran return flow.
Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, in Jakarta on Sunday, detailed that of this number, 63,560 seats are executive class, 45,584 seats are commercial economy class, and 4,031 seats are PSO economy class (government-subsidised).
Franoto stated that the total seating capacity for the Lebaran transport period, namely 11 March to 1 April 2026, is 1,083,674 seats.
“The average occupancy rate for the period from 11 March to 1 April 2026 is 83 per cent,” he said.
He conveyed that the number of passengers departing today is 36,994 people. Meanwhile, cumulatively, the number of departing passengers for the period 11-29 March 2026 reaches 855,526 people.
“The cumulative number of passengers who have purchased and booked tickets for the period from 11 March to 1 April 2026 is 903,643 tickets (dynamic data),” Franoto stated.
Furthermore, to increase public interest in using train transportation, specifically for departures from 25 March to 1 April 2026, a 20 per cent silaturahmi promotional discount is available only for executive class.
There are 61 train journeys departing from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen Station that feature this discounted fare.
“The discounted fare does not apply to suite class compartment trains, luxury, priority, imperial, panoramic, and/or other tourist trains,” Franoto said.
Referring to data from 27 March, a total of 20,314 promotional tickets have been sold.
